Uses Lua:

Usage

No parameters

Use:

{{LepIndex}}

and the template will pull the ID from Wikidata (if present there) and extract the link text from the page name, less any text in parenthesis.

With parameters

Use:

|id=

Optional - not required if the LepIndex ID associated with the page on Wikidata is the same as that used by LepIndex

Example {{LepIndex |id=31468}} gives

Optional - not required if the page name is the same as the "Current Comb:" at LepIndex

Example {{LepIndex |id=36290 |name=Asura mimetica'' ssp. ''flagrans}} prevents the text "ssp." from being in italics.
